It's almost as if when i sub to a mod, steam just doesn't install it.īut i had no problems with getting HC to work. I asked on thepage for the forged saw, and someone said "go look in so and so folder" i guess a folder that is created when you sub to the mod, but that folder didn't exist. SO i went to the steam workshop, and subscribed to them, same as i did for the forged saw, and it happens with them all.

I was watching a guy on twitch and was trying to join, so, he was using hydrocraft, wooden dowels, and cremation, so they were working for him. I asked on the page for forged saw, and everyone says it works for them with Hydrocraft. I have tried Forged Saw, Cremation, and the wooden dowel one. Yeah, every single mod i try does the same thing. It's hard to say without knowing what you're trying to download. Alternatively, they may not be compatible with Hydrocraft. In FFXV mods works great, when I use ModOrganizer, but fbx files with texture - hard to find (easy only nude).Have you tried more than one other mod? It's possible the one you're trying is just broken. I suspect that Steam "locks" the workshop by default, which is why newer games tend to often not be accessible via the downloader - meaning it's up to the game's publisher to explicitly set the workshop to be available.Īh ok. If you want a mod that's currently "locked" for you because you don't have it on Steam, your options are:ġ) Contact the publisher of the game and get them to unlock it (this sometimes works - Klei unlocked Invisible Inc workshop mods for example).Ģ) See if the mod is available elsewhere, such as Moddb or NexusMods - if not, contact the developer of the mod and get them to get their shit together. The API Steam downloader (and similar web pages and tools) uses is a web-based API - it never had anything to do with the game itself. Some updates may require player intervention, although never anything that will harm your save games. Although a fully functional complete mod, it is a work in progress and will change over time. This is nothing to do with Steam Downloader and the API, and everything to do with the publisher of the game not enabling those who don't own the game on Steam to download workshop mods. Workshop Rearranged is an overhaul of Fallout 4's workshop system. In the past the steam workshop used to use a different system where the game itself would download mods using an API, which I think is what that steam workshop downloader is trying to use. It all goes through the steam client now. "I think it's not actually possible to use a downloader for newer steam workshop stuff, because it uses the same download depot system for mods as for games. Guess GOG users are not allowed to use mods for that game. "The game that this item belongs too does not allow downloading of its items" on for some games like Hat In Time, you're fucked
